Access to the college is restricted to members only to provide a safe environment for professional discussions and developmental activities. Members are expected to comply with a code of conduct and guidance on ethical use of internet based resources.
Current membership includes practitioners (link nurses and multidisciplinary teams from Demonstration Sites), academics, older people, representatives from organisations for older people (Age Concern, Help the Aged, Better Government for Older People), managers from NHS and independent sector, representatives of national agencies including NHSQIS, NHS Education Scotland, NHS Health and the Royal College of Nursing.
The intension of the diverse membership is to share best practice and enable pooling of expertise. For practitioners who work in relative isolation due to geography (remote / rural) or features of their organisational environment, this provides an accessible practice development community and peer reference group.
If you would like to contact the college member working nearest to you (we would be happy to relay a message) then contact us.
